Are You New E911 Compliant?
The Kari’s Law , Ray Baum’s Act, simply put, prohibits the requirement for a “prefix” when dialing 911 on your Multi-Line Telephone System (MLTS). Locations with a MLTS must remove any requirement that a caller dial “9”, “8” or any other number to reach an outside line to call 911. Also, when a 911 call is placed from an MLTS, a notification must be sent to on-site personnel alerting them to the emergency.
If you are not, or are unsure, ask us how to become E911 compliant. Someone’s life may depend on it.
